First Lite Sawbuck Pant
Customer Reviews
Best trousers for chasing roosters through gorse and blackberry.
Excellent fit, tailored around the knees. A tad noisy in the thick dryer country but very durable and hard wearing. Proper belt loops and and jean like pockets. Front pockets lined with a softer material. Great all round pant.
Fits great , comfortable, tough enough to stand up to, and provide protection from the nasty stuff , from rough shooting pheasant to high Country quail and Chukar these pants survived a very busy upland season , very happy!
I've hunted in these pants everyday working for the last 3 months, and they are simply the best pants I've ever used.
Durable yet made to walk in!
Took these little beauties up into the Korowai Torlesse Tussocklands Park and I'm impressed. I was a little hesitant at first, but Cam provided some great advice. I'm a 34" waist and usually a 34" leg and often find most pants don't quite fit my inseam. However, Cam recommended the 32"/32" and I was blown away by the fit. The leg is long and a perfect fit over my boots.
During the hunt, the temperature was around 25 degrees and while the pants were warm and a bit heavier due to the extra material present, they weren't ridiculous and it was easy to manage my body temperature while also putting in some good distances. Once I got onto the tops, where a cold westerly did its best to cool everything down, I remained warm even while glassing.
The pants came into their own during a 50 metre bush bash through some matagouri and Spaniard grass. While my upper body took the full brunt of the needles and sharp edges, the extra layer in the Sawbucks prevented all but the sharpest spikes from cutting through the skin. Even more impressive was the fact that after the taxing bush bash, the pants had no evidence of what I had just walked through, despite the blood on my arms and hands.
I'm absolutely stoked with these pants, chees Cam and the team at Points South.
