The Brooks Down Sweater is engineered to fit close to the body for insulating purposes. Please be aware of this and size up one size if you feel you are in between sizes.

At just 300grams, the Brooks Down Sweater is the definition of ultralight, highly packable backcountry insulation. Built with 100 grams of DWR-treated, 800-fill power, 37.5-DownTek, the Brooks provides advanced, active insulation that fights off moisture to keep both you and your down insulation warm, dry, and comfortable.

When you're miles into the backcountry, weight is key but not at the expense of your insulation that keeps you warm and protected. With that at the forefront of our minds, the Brooks was designed using 50% more down than its closest competitor to be the lightest weight possible while ensuring best-in-class warmth. The Brooks Down Sweater features a drop-tail hem for critical coverage when glassing, and an ultralight Turret hood design that can be operated with one hand to lock in heat while maintaining full field-of-view. Chilly evening chasing stags in the roar or climbing above the snowline for winter tahr, the Brooks Down Sweater is the trusted choice to guarantee your warmth while maintaining durability in the field.

    No regrets!

I've had this for a few a few years now and it continues to perform - both outdoors and for casual. It is so light and compressible that I've also taken it as part of my kit on some ultra-distance adventures. Very pleased.

    Outstanding bit of kit

Was looking for a lightweight puffer jacket to take into the mountains to replace my old Macpac. Reached out to Cam for some advice and he was quick to come back with some options. Settled on Brooks Down Sweater. Was questioning my choice when I opened the packaging because it looked so thin. Shouldn't have been worried. It's an extremely warm jacket and packs down tiny. Would definitely recommend. Excellent customer service by Cam as always.

    Lightweight warmth.

Great jacket. Seemed very light when unpacked, but punches way above it weight. Really warm as part of a layer system. Very comfortable when glassing.

    Not your average sweater

Purchased from Cam a few weeks ago and as always it arrived quickly and fully trackable. The sweater is not your average item as i’ve found it to be very versatile, from wearing as an over jacket on really cold days hunting and as a casual jacket it’s now a serious part of my layering system. I purchased the green version and very happy with the colour, the material is very quiet which surprised me as most of this style jacket has a fair amount of noise. I ordered a large and it’s true to fit plus a little extra to allow a fleece to be worn underneath. The fit is spot on and generous where movement is critical when out hunting, it’s packable when not wearing and rolls down to nearly nothing and is light as! The Australian bush is very unforgiving with thick blackberry and dogwood so it’s not going to fair well moving through this type of terrain, however if your sat waiting or glassing then it’s perfect! If your looking for that missing bit of kit that wears well when hunting and when your back home then this is it.

    Great

This is a great in between insulation layer. I use it on its own or in really shit weather it goes under my shell. Actually has some breathability unlike anything out there
